My name is Dr. Cascya Charlot. I am a physician who specializes in pediatric and adult allerigies and asthma. I am a Harvard Medical School graduate who completed her residency and training at NYU. I am very well respected in my field and board certified in my specialty. I recently moved to the Park Slope area with my family and I love it here! I decided to open an Allergy clinic in the Grand Army Plaza area. It is called the Allergy and Asthma Care of Brooklyn located at 10 Plaza Street East in suite 1C, Brooklyn, NY 11238. I would like to abe available to answer questions for Park Slope parents with allergy inquiries and also let them know about my services. We are open wednesdays until 8pm and saturdays until 6pm. We accept most insurances (except for Blue Cross) Please call us to make an appointment today at (347) 564 3211 or via email at [email protected].

  • Dear Dr. Charlot,

I have been suffering with allergies for the past 3 weeks. My eyes are constantly running with water. The salty tears are burning around the outside of my eyes causing a crusty white substance (like salt). This is so annoying & I've tried everything. What do you recommend?

  • I am sorry to hear about your eye issues. Sounds like you have allergic rhinoconjunctivitis although it is hard to say without an evaluation. Do you know what you are allergic to? It might be a good idea to find out. There are many pharmaceutical options for allergic rhinoconjunctivitis-but in order to recommend anything you would need an evaluation and a prescription. Unfortunately, the medications available over the counter can sometimes do more harm than good. A non pharmaceutical option is simply to wash the eyes with a saline rinse (several times a day) as this rinses away allergens. You can call our office for more information or go to www.brooklynallergydr.com which also has general information.

    I hope this helps.

    Cascya Charlot
