Petition for Eagle Provisions to stay open later?

Count me in.
I can only shop on weekends with them due to this.
Even 8pm is cutting it close for me -
don't they open at the butt crack of dawn?? I know they're open before many of the businesses are in the immediate area. Probably too expensive for them to stay open later. Fyi, they make really good sandwiches made to order in the back of the store at the deli counter.

Sigh. Even though they are only a couple of blocks away, I am usually sleeping at the butt crack of dawn and don't get home from work until 7:00.

I'm about to move into the neighborhood, and was so psyched that I'd have such a good grocery store nearby...until I noticed thay closed at 7. Argh! Few people can get home from work before then, I'd think...I might make it on some days, but it will be tight.
Looks like I'm going to have to make a pit stop at Union Square on my way home frome from work when I need to pick up groceries during the week. Good thing I always buy an unlimited metrocard...

Here is my vote. ...Even a later closing time once or twice a week would be sufficient, I would guess.

It would make all the difference in the world if they'd stay open even until 8!!
I wonder if we could also convince them to start carrying more organic produce. I'm sure there's a substantial and growing demand in the neighborhood, given all the new condos going up and all the people moving in because they were priced out of Park Slope (like me!
). Maybe I'll try to organize a campaign once I move in.

just found this site,
BORN in BKLYN DIEING IN STINKIN SO. JERSEY. ](*,) SOUNDS LIKE ALOT HAS CHANGED,EAGLE PROV. WAS CALLED LOCALLY "WHITE EAGLE" BACK THEN. I STILL STOP IN FOR THE KEILBASI AND HOT PASTRAMI SANDWICHES WHEN I BACK IN THE LAND OF MY YOUTH.

Good luck! Family biz, so I really doubt that Eagle (run like ship at sea) will change it's hours after so many years. But, the two brothers who own the establishment are quite nice, just ask them

Don't know that a petition is necessary or will even be effective. My 2 cents.
Best of luck, I'm lucky that I have a home office and can shop their during their normal hours

niftynifty, Any luck talking to the owners?
