How to piss off a Park Slope resident

#42. Be a woman that carts heavy shit from hardware or furniture stores by herself, BY HAND, and doesn't ask for help. I don't understand why I always get incredulous looks for this.
-
#43. Flick a finished cigarette onto the trash-laden street of 7th Avenue.
Apparently, the street is spotless save for copius amounts of wrappers, cans, broken glass, broken toys, coffee cups!!!!!, pamphlets, and AMNew Yorks. That is until your cigarette lands there. -
#43 When strolling the sidewalk and self-important people are coming the other way right at you, a few steps before collision just stop walking.

Want to load and un-load a 180 pound concreter sink for me? I swear I won't give you a weird look. I'll even let you do it solo if you so insist.
#44. Wear a "No Ozzie's" or "No Gorilla Coffee" t-shirt. -

Welll....that sounds fun, but I don't think I could move something that weighs more than my skinny ass. :P Got anything under 130 lbs? -

Plenty!! -
#45 Announce that all of Park Slope's Laundromats are shutting down and that everyone must wash their own socks.
#46 Convert their children to Walmart customers. -
#47 Say that you think that the food Co-op is a cult
#48 Ask somebody where the nearest ______ is (fill in with: Gap, Starbucks, or any other huge chain) -
# 49 Open a McDonald's franchise on the corner of Union Street and 7th Avenue.
(It would be just as attractive as Manhattan's Olive Garden on 6th Avenue near the former Limelight.) -

Do you really have one? OMG I would love to know where you got it. Im going to Florida soon and want to wear it there
Do you really have one? A bush I mean? That's sooo "late 1990s" flexi. Comeon! -
Flexichick wrote: #47 Say that you think that the food Co-op is a cult
The co-op IS a cult.
#48 Ask somebody where the nearest ______ is (fill in with: Gap, Starbucks, or any other huge chain) -
Beware the Chimera that is the Co-op. For its tentacles stretch far and wide.

Subject: Tavern on Dean. What? Tavern on Dean! What?!
I only know for sure that this works for Prospect Heights folks, but give it a try in the Slope: Tell someone in a bar that they are being too loud, and then tell them again because it is so incredibly loud in the bar that they can't hear you tell them how loud they are being. :-$ -

Ok, I'll be there at 6:30am Sunday morning!
Oh, I thought of one last night:
#50: Open another 99cent store on 5th ave past 9th St. -
#51 - "P.S. 321 is so overrated."
-
#52: Piss off the PC crowd on this board.
#53: Being an educated libertarian with 2 masters degrees who refuses to be influenced by others. -
#54 - Create multiple identities to spam people incessantly on a community message board and then play victim when you get caught.
-
#55 Wish they were richer than they actually are.
-
#57 Call 'em MILFs
#58 Applaud their nannies for raising their children right. Even if they are wheeling around their 10 year old twins in double strollers. -
#59 "Walk" your unleashed, twin pit bulls in a double-wide stroller.
-

Whist breastfeeding them in public [-X -
#60 - tell them you pay $1150/mth for a 800 sq ft 1 bedroom apt w/hardwood floors, 12 foot ceilings and real wood-burning fireplace - a block from the Park.

I think this thread qualifies as the first Park Slope Forum clip show. When did we stop writing new material?
-
#61 -- Force the Dance Studio to close.
So how do you justify that, Mr. Kotsonis? -

"PS 321 is so overcrowded" -
"Ya shoulda bought in the 80's like we did."

62: A rose by any other name is just as sweet. Or a close paraphrase.
So how do you justify that, Mr. Kotsonis?
We are expanding our space for our own use. That is an as of right for property owners. I have no need to justisfy anything. She was given above average legal notification and she did find alternative spaces.
Whether or not she wishes to relocate or close is her business decision. She also has the option of taking on partners to help absorb the relocation costs. Again, that is a business decision that Jenny must make. -
It's a shame that you feel so little responsibility to the community.
Maybe you should shovel the snow in front of your property before someone sues you. -
Give it a break Rose, I'd like to see who passes the litmas test of "who shows responsibility to the community." I guess you win; as you are the only one who has been pissed off in this forum.
#63. Make a decision without consulting your coop board, CB6 meeting, neighbors, potential opponents, street activists, mothers, caretakers...
Howdy, Stranger!
