    omg. right? minnie driver?? I'm not sure I've ever seen her as so compelling. and the hillbilly mob? zomg! and eddie izzard?? and their kids? god, I can't WAIT for the next episode. genius!

    sheer brilliance. i really like Driver and i LOVE Izzard, so i was hoping against hope that this show was going to be special, and i was. not. disappointed!

    i also got a big kick out of watching the "Grindhouse" stuff.

    oh, and just in case people reading this thread aren't familiar with Eddie Izzard's stuff, run, don't walk, to Blockbuster (or queue up your Netflix) and rent "Dressed to Kill". some of the funniest damn British humor i've seen.

    I saw Eddie Izzard having dinner with Cher one night in SoHo. It was an interesting sighting. He was dressed as a man, and she looked freaky.

    BTW, when/where is this show on?

    it's on FX and they're rerunning the pilot on wednesday at ... 10 I think. so worth the trouble. it's genius.

    btw, I somehow have a deep love for non-premium, original cable shows. I also ADORE the closer. goddamn - kyra sedgwick is brilliant.

    I finally got to watch this just now.

    I liked it. A lot.

    I don't like Minnie Driver much in general...she was a bit more tolerable in this role, but she kept putting her little finger to her mouth (chewing her nail?) and I was thinking "Mini Me" every time she did it.

    Eddie Izzard is the shit.

    I love the little cross-dressing kid, too.

    I don't think I ever watched an F/X series before. I expected it to be a bit more censored, and was glad it wasn't.

    amusingly, a friend just made me watch season 1, episode 2 of lost. hilarious. suspension of disbelief at an absurd level.
