I always get sucked in by the meatballs (what are they, like 18 for 35 cents?), but I always feel worse for the wear later...

I'm sorry, those things are dog food.
My Minnesota Hot Dish spouse goes right for 'em tho . . .

They're the meat version of ikea furniture--they look like meat on the outside but inside it's a bunch of stuff chopped up and pressed together.

This is all so very true. However; I justify my eating them essentially because:
    1. I eat them perhaps once every 1-2 years.
    2. I never, ever eat at fast food restaurants - this is the closest I get.
    3. Lingonberry sauce, baby!
    4. My husband hates cream sauces, so I'd never make these at home.
    5. Sometimes it's nice to... cleanse the digestive system. ;)
  • I like getting the french fries instead of the potatoes, and getting extra gravy poured all over the fries.
  • I like the hot dogs and ligonberry soda.
  • I get the hot dogs as an extra snack on the way out. Meatballs and fries for the lunch! ;)
  • ooh. and I like the non-martinelli's ligonberry NA bubbly.

Thank you for this tip! This future Ikea trip is already pissing me off. ALL the NY/ NJ stores do not have what I want in stock... I wonder if they'll get it before I plan to go in a week and a half, or if I'll just have to scratch the whole Ikea idea.
  • Does anyone know if IKEA delivery is $100 per item or $100 flat fee (regardless of number of items)?
  • Just FYI, I read this not-too-encouraging item on Consumerist about Ikea's delivery service not too long ago:
