No Respect from Prospect Park — Brooklynian

No Respect from Prospect Park

Those of us who thought PH had lost its underdog, chip-on-the-shoulder attitude got a big boost this weekend when the Park Slope Parks Department decided to stop plowing about forty feet short of the Flatbush Avenue cross-walk.

The PS side of the Park was nicely plowed.

But plow all the way the Flatbush? What for? Nobody lives over there!

  • Hey there--
You've go to go to "see different sizes" on the flickr page for each photo to pick up a URL ending in .jpg if you want to put the photos here. Right now you're linking to an entire webpage, not an image file.

  • Emily,

Why does everyone else know this and not me?

  • I think the plowing issue had more to do with the St. Paddys day parade, than it did with PS favoritism.
  • I've noticed how Park Slope gets plowed before PH and CH though. I work in PS and live in CH so I noticed how all the side streets in PS were plowed but hardly any in CH. I take the bus down Bergen and it took them 2 days to plow it. They were only doing the avenues.
