Getting Married at the Picnic House — Brooklynian

Getting Married at the Picnic House

I need help again!

I am getting married at the Picnic House in Prospect Park next October and we need a caterer. The Picnic House makes you choose between a list of caterers and I was wondering if any of you have held or been to any events at the Picnic House and what you thought of the caterer?

Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions!

(I am also posting this in the PS and Brooklyn boards)

  • Though I haven't used them myself, I've heard lovely things about Moveable Feast. Perhaps they are on the "approved" list you were provided?
  • I got married at the Picnic House and used the Movable Feast. I can't say enough nice things about them. The food was great, not too $$ and they took care of every detail. Their staff was also very friendly and professional. The Movable Feast also helped with the transition from ceremony to reception w/o a hitch - moving chairs and tables, etc.
  • My brother's wedding was at the picnic house a few years ago. They used the Cleaver Company and that turned out really well. I was at another wedding this year catered by the same company, and thought the food was very good (for a wedding).

The company also has a small restaurant called the Green Table in Chelsea Market.
  • Do any of you have any pictures of your weddings there? It sounds very beautiful but I am having a hard time visualizing the atmosphere. Thanks!
