Margaritas in PS

Sounds like you needed my chaperoning skills. I think THAT is precisely where things went wrong ;-)
(sometimes, though, 2 is perfect and 3 is deadly...especially if you're...um...an amateur!) -
That's it! The limes weren't organic!
More likely it was the somewhat empty stomach.... Whatever, I think moderation and just savoring 1 or 2 will eliminate the after-effects. -
I think the salt must not have been kosher

hmm - I can see a more detailed, long-term study will be required... -
Yes, you need to go get your Master's or something ;-)
I have already received my PhD in margaritas. The hard way. Then again, I lived in AZ for a while, where the tequila was more common than water. -

Maybe that's where you acquired your ketchup on hot dogs affliction!

A real meat eater wouldn't need mustard either, Senor Carnivore. I'm not sayin' anything, I'm just sayin'.
"You people" are making me hungry for hot dogs. -

I think a through examination is definitely due. Can I volunteer??
Flexi, will you lend your expertise as a tequila scholar? Carnivore, we might need you in this too. I smell a PS happy hour theme coming on.... -
Carnivore makes a mean margarita. and a mean blue one, too.

is it still April Fool's Day? -
I could be convinced...
Alafairnadia can weigh in on my margarita-making skillz (I'm sure she will be unbiased and brutally honest). And both she and Big Guy can comment on my blue margaritas (and before you cry heresy, all I do is swap in blue curacao for the triple sec/cointreau).
EDIT: missed that she already did! #-o -
Er....why do I have a feeling this margarita experiment will end up at Soda? ;-)
I don't play well in groups!
That said, I'm slowly working my way through the board. About 5 people can attest that I do actually exist.
In the meantime, I'll just keep drinking at home alone like I usually do (only half-joking) -
Ok.. best kept margarita secret -- Great Lakes. Order one, you'll see.

As much as I don't like the place the Burrito Bar on Flatbush has an amazing tequila selection (good mezcals too). I found the bartenders pretty amateurish but the raw ingrediants are there. And Brian at Steinhoff has a way with Margaritas.... maybe it's his Texas blood.
-
the margs at burrito bar kinda suck, though. I had to walk the bartender through making one after my first one was way too sticky sweet and I couldn't taste the tequila at all.
-
it's true. they ruin any sort of mixed drinks with the great tequilas they have. I'm always just a tequila and lemon juice, shaken kinda guy so I can get away with it.
Howdy, Stranger!
