Watch repair? — Brooklynian

Watch repair?

Can anyone recommend a local place based on personal experience? I have about a half dozen watches that need things like new batteries, polishing, minor repairs. Nothing too involved -- I'm just looking for someone honest and capable.

I work in midtown, so any recommendations for someone in that area would be really helpful too.

  • I just had a new band put on my watch at the jewelry store in the Atlantic Center. It's on the 2nd floor, turn LEFT as you come across the bridge from Target. They charged me $15 including tax and did it while I waited. This after going to 3 places that wouldn't even try, Including Tourneau in the city.

I will take another back to them that need a battery and a band. I don't think I'll take my Omega to them though. For that I hve a recommendation from my Dr. who took his to Murray's Jewelry on 79th and 3rd Ave in the City

If you want to be in midtown you could try Joseph Edwards on 5th btwn 42nd and 43rd
  • If you need battery replacement try 5th ave bewteen 9th and 8th..left side walking down Tip Top..
  • There is a shop on 7th Ave (east side of the street). I think it's on 7th or 8th st, on the corner. The jeweler there is very good. He repaired two watches for me.
