Local contractors and/or painters

Hello, all. New to the board, at least posting. I'm going to be moving into Bed-Sty within a month or so. It's a new building, so it's a blank slate. I'm wondering if anyone knows of (or is) a good house painter. I'd like to use local talent, if at all possible. Support the neighborhood. There'll probably be some minor contracting down the road as well. You know - wish that thing was/wasn't there.

I'd appreciate any referrals, or experiences.

I'd recommend a local painter by the name of Jerry Garrett (917-577-1513). I've used him several times and he is quick, neat and clearly VERY experienced. He tells me he's been painting professionally for over 13 years; he also did sheetrock/tape work and other light construction for me which came out top-notch. He also seems to have a staff (or some regulars he calls on) to assist him. Tell him "the other Jerry from his neighborhood" referred you.
