be careful with your laundry!
2 days ago at laundry city, my roommate left his clothes drying and returned to some guy sorting through his things. when questioned, the guy said, "oh, i thought this was my laundry" and then slipped out of the laundry place without attending to any other laundry..
sure it's a risk to leave clothes washing/drying, but it's also a shame that even semi-clean clothes might not be there when you return. especially in the middle of the day. so watch out.

I do my laundry at my neighborhood laundromat on Franklin Ave.
I usually throw my things in the machine , and come back 30 minutes later to dry them.
A month ago I was in there doing my laundry. It was time for me to go back and put them in the dryer. As I am loading them in a dryer , and an old lady is loading her things in the dryer next to mines..She walks away , and I hear her telling the little lady that works there that her things are in the first dryer on the bottom , and she wants her to take them out when they are done and fold them for her.
I am at home chillin , my cell rings , its the alarm telling me my laundry is dried...time to go back.
I grab my laundry bag and head out....I get there and I see that the dryer that had my things was empty!!! I was like what the? I am looking around and what do I see?? My Spongebob panties!! loooool ...bright and yellow , I start heading for the basket , and the little lady grabs them and shes folding them.....then I see a whole stack of my panties sitting on the table folded.....I said to her "excuse me , but those are my things your folding" , she looks at me and says "Oooh no , I'm sorry" , I told her that I heard the lady tell her to fold her things , and I pointed out the correct dryer to her....she goes to take that womans things out....I start grabbing my undies that are sitting there displayed for all to see....then the little lady walks back up to me as I am tossing everything back in my bag , and she says to me" You know I was saying to myself..I know that old lady don't wear no thongs!" and she starts laughing hysterically , and some guy that was standing on the side watching all of this go down starts laughing as well..and then he says "you wear cartoon underwear?" continues laughing....I was sooooo embarrassed
I don't wear thongs , I only had one in that load. It came attached to a lingerie item that I bought.... tried to wear it once , didn't like it .....I prefer the Joe Boxer cotton bikini's , much more comfortable...about Spongebob...well, I love that yellow bastard!
Now, I make sure to time myself to be there a minute or two before the dryer is set to stop. -

All I know is I went to get my drying from the place across from Soda, and lo and behold there was this dude with his head up my tumbler, sniffing my boxers.

Vanilla, thanks for the heads-up. As long as we're telling laundromat stories....
I once lived in an apartment building where there was a common laundry in the basement for tenants. I was dating a woman at the time who slept over once in a while. Well, I came up from the basement with my laundry one day, and sorting it I found a pair of rather ubiquitous black panties. Of course, I assumed they were hers, and hung them on the door knob to a bedroom closet so she could regain them on her next visit. I guess I don't have to tell you they weren't hers. It took some explaining, but the truth prevailed. Interestingly, the only outward difference between the mystery panties and hers was a little pearly thing stitched onto the elastic band. She wasn't interested in keeping the panties, so I returned them to the laundry room table, and wondered if in fact they belonged to one of two women in the building I had slept with before I met that most current lover, or whether they belonged to one of the other two women in the building I hoped yet to sleep with. ;-) -

royal blue nylon bikini bottoms with big stars. (though the shorts are adorable.) i wore them under a threadbare thrift shop satin twill red-white-and-blue dress -- with red CAPE, thank you very much -- for more demure day-saving. -
I had the same ones Sweetea! I loved my underoos!
I still think of them now and then....I miss my underoos
what time does that support group start again? -
laundry city's card-loading machine stole $20 from me on sunday (the card would not function). it was mean.
and apparently the only way to get money back from them is to talk to the owner, who can somehow verify that i put that amount in the machine, yet he has no set schedule. i went on monday night when they said he "might" be there, and waited an hour with no owner showing up. then they at least let me leave a note, so i don't spend every night there. so far no call...
they have tv though!
maybe i'll stake him out again tonight. but only if they have on america's next top model...or i could wait till later and watch lost. -
so many reasons never to do laundry ever again - ?

How did that damn Burger joint ruin Spongebob for ya?
I can't get enough of that yellow sponge of love.
I watch his cartoon everyday , and I don't think its just for kids.....he is hilarious!
My husband hates him because I love him , jealous ass , but I have caught him watching the cartoon a few times! -
Short version of the commercial is mom and dad in the bathroom and dad stands up in the tub covered in suds from the waist down with a sponge on his head and says "Look, Spongebob no pants".
Every time I see it I ask myself, why the hell someone thought a naked man in a tub was the proper vehicle to sell chicken strips to kids tied to a cartoon character. -
Ahh ha....yeah I remember that commercial.
Kind weird , yes , kids chicken fries + naked daddy = wtf???
I don't take it out on Spongebob. I blame Burger King....those sick bastards!!
Ladies and Gentlemen the REAL Spongebob no pants =D>

Anyone know a good laundry pick-up service?
DON'T GO TO BUBBLEWORKS! They are absolutely awful. The have four-hour windows to pick up and drop off When I used them, they picked up on a SUnday night and were due to drop off on a Wednesday night. A half-hour into the scheduled drop-off time, after I rushed home for the start time, they called and said they weren't coming because the laundry wasn't finished. To reschedule, even though it was their fault, they refused to schedule a smaller window then four hours, and refused to offer any discount or even a coupon in concilliation. Then when I got the bill, I was floored! All around awful. And Clean Rite is also significantly more expensive then the drop-off/pick-up place I used when I lived in Manhattan. -

just thought i should clear laundry city's name. it did take over a week and several phone calls, but they got me a new card and put all my money back on it
