Rescued Stubby the Cat - Available for Adoption

Hi, my name is Stubby!

I was found in Park Slope living with a feral colony. My rescuer doesn't think that I was there for long since she feeds the colony every day. She thinks that someone may have recently dumped me there. As soon as I saw my future rescuer, I ran towards her crying and begging for help! I was determined that living outside in a feral colony was not going to be my fate. I am too sweet; I would not have made it outside for very long on my own. I didn't even want to try!

I have been fully vetted (neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, de-fleaed) and tested negative for FELV/FIV. I am a very healthy little boy. I got my name due to my stubby tail. I am not self-conscious about it at all, it just adds to my character!

I am now looking for a "forever home" of my own. I am very charming, sweet, and never meet a stranger. I currently live with both dogs and cats and don't mind them a bit. I don't have a dominant personality and feel no need to rule the roost. I just want to to love and be loved. The very first day that my rescuer brought me indoors I sat on her lap and purred and purred! I love being indoors and being part of a family. If you are looking for a perfect cat to add to yours, look no further. I am confident that I will be a wonderful match.

My foster mom has a favorite story about me that gives you more insight into my specialness. I was living with a kitten in my foster home until he was adopted. I loved this little kitten so much. One day he got his claw stuck on the shower curtain and was hanging and crying. I went over to him and tried to grab him by the scruff with my teeth, just like momma cats do with their offspring. I didn't have any luck getting him down so I ran over to my foster mom who was watching this entire scene and looked to her to help him. After she got him down, I went over to the kitten and cleaned him to make sure that he wasn't too upset. I definitely keep a careful watch over everyone special in my life.

If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my rescuer at 718-965-3868. You certainly won't regret it; I am one of a kind!!

  • OMG - he is just adorable. I wish I could take him but my two babies barely tolerate each other, so a 3rd is out of the question. Hope he finds a home soon (and maybe with the kitten?)
  • StubsyUbsy! So cute! I love how he's snorgling with the kitten. I hope he finds a home soon
  • I'm the proud foster mom and the Stubman is the best. I found the kitten on a stoop the very first night I had Stubby. He was amazing with the kitten, so patient and sweet. The kitten already found a home with another kitty (my bathroom has finally recovered, I'd forgotten what little terrors kittens can be!) Stubbs is attempting to make friends with my oldest cat but she's an old crank. He doesn't even mind my girls sneaking into the bathroom to eat his food!
  • I have a rescued stray (from Prospect Heights) who looks just like that, pink nose and all.

  • Wow, they could be twins! Although Stubb's feet are a little bigger I think. He has some HUGE feet, his back ones look like rabbit's feet. When he sits his feet stick out to the side like they're too big to fit under him. It's adorable.

Maybe whoever dumped Stubby got him from the streets of PH, they do look remarkably alike.
  • Here's her kitten (now a huge cat). He has the same markings, and giant feet.

  • How adorable, look at the curled feet! How lucky they are to have found you. I'd say they're totally aware of how sweet their lives are now.
  • Stubby will be going to his new home in Park Slope tomorrow. A BIG thanks to caseopele for fostering this big lug!
  • Yay Stubby (and Leo and Caseo)!
  • Oh, I tell you it was such a hardship fostering Stubster.

Yup, it was just awful seeing this, I tell you.

I'm going to miss the big guy and his cute big rabbit feet, but I'm so happy he's found his home. Thanks to Leozoeypiper for letting me get to know this handsome guy!
