  • Don't think I can make it this week; however, you should definitely count me in for the next one. I would love to meet all you crazed beasts.
  • Excellent! I'll be there a little after eight.
  • I have pending plans tomorrow that have a high chance of being canned. If so, I will be there.
  • I'm there. Nadia- man up, girl! I KNOW you still got party in ya- even after Vegas....

    indeed!
  • I hear there's a certain vitamin J that can cure whatever ails ya, Alfy

nothing, thankfully, ails me. just have a touch of jet lag and absurd desire to sit down at a poker table any day or night.
  • I'll probably pop along at some stage.
  • I'll be there at 8:20ish, for a drink of four.
  • Oooooo, Dale's Pale Ale and Sixpoint!
    That's a quality beer list.

I'm aiming to stop in after something else, if I can stand not to just go home . . .
  • oh pitu, i'd love to meetcha (and everyone else, too, for that matter). you should try to make it!

No blind date for me tonight, so I'll be there!
  • It is very close to home, so maybe I can slip out of the house for a drink.
  • deviled eggs, canned chicken, and a llama are too tempting - I’ll try to stop by after class.

What about--among others--a rebel Native American, a Mexican screen diva, and a cool turntable? Chopped liver? (Hmm...they might even serve that...)
  • Hey ya'll , is anyone thats planning on attending this shindig gonna be walking up there at 7:30pm? Do you live off Eastern Parkway , near the Museum or on or near Eastern Parkway ,Classon , Washington , Franklin Avenue,or near Prospect Park?

I wanna come up there for an hour or so , I don't drink....I hope I'm not the only one , and I don't wanna walk up there alone , so if anyone is planning on walking there , and lives around my area ,let me know.....its 5:20pm now and I don't know if anyone is gonna even see this in time...if not then I'll walk up there and try my best to find the place....I'm not familiar with atht area of flatbush , but I checked out the online map thingy , it looks easy enough to find.

Peace out , and see you all there.....I so nervous, lol.
  • not walking -- too far for me. FWIW, you could take the bus if you wanted to Em -- the B41 runs right along flatbush.
  • I could take the 2 or 3 , I live around the corner from the subway....I enjoy walking , and thinking....also because I'm so damn nervous/shy it helps to walk and get that shit out of my system while I walk...you know , like build up the courage to open the door and walk in , lol , I'm an idiot , I'd probably get to the door and walk away #-o
  • It's VERY easy to find and it's a nice walk from the Museum, especially since the sun finally came out. And there's a big sign on the restaurant that says "Flatbush Farm".
    :D

You know a drink would fix that, just sayin'

BTW, I'm a relative newbie too, so you're not alone. (plus I hear their onion rings are the best in town!)

    Lagunitas! Lagunitas!!!
  • sorry, after a day ending at 10pm comfort food and peruvian handicrafts are about my speed. maybe a positive pill would help. looking forward to seeing everyone, if i make it.

em26, don't worry. i'm pretty shy. i went to the last happy hour alone and as promised they don't bite. i had a great time.

ok, you're not on IM. we're training over. see you??
  • I just got home!!! Its now 10:04pm , I left you guys around 9:30pm ,I got lost for about a half hour #-o

I went the wrong damn way ..turned back around ended up on Pacific , then Dean, then some street named Vanderbilt or belt....and Bergen and then finally Underhill....almost walked back the other way again....then I scraped up some guts and asked a guy on the street what way on Underhill should I walk to get to Eastern Parkway ,he pointed me in the right direction , and thank God I made it....kinda scary alone at night looking like a lost weirdo.

It was grrrrreat meeting all of you , even though I know I didn't introduce myself to everyone....you know who you are , I don't , sorry for my rudeness.

Hope you guys make it home safely!!

Alafairnadia , and Whatchawant , thanks for walking up there with me
  • Good to see everybody again, and even better to meet some of you for the first time! Great turnout, sorry that I had to skip out a little early - next time I'll see if mom will let me stay out a little after the street lights come on!
  • what a marvelous time! thank you all -- seriously! it was great to put faces to names, or more specifically, to put faces to avatars, then names to avatars. i got a little confused with the real name thing and called carnivore BigGuy near the end, but that was just the rum talkin'

anyway, it was soooo good to meet you -- y'all made this old lady's week :D/
  • shhhh....Maybe Carnivore just thought you had your own nickname for him (although I think I've seen pictures and he's not such a big guy).

Maybe they're still drinking and won't rememeber :-$
  • (no, no. i was calling him a real name which was not his, which was embarrassing to say the least)...
  • ha! That's a whole different kind of mistake. You've exceeded the scope of my help ;-)
  • Loved to see you all!! Seriously! Dr J you are one cool fella, Mr Keys we must hang soon, and Big G.. well, we'll see ya over a drink at Hanks soon. And of course, the always lovely Ms. Alafair. And Carny, seriously, stay away from shishkabees canned chicken!!!

I had such a great time! Flexi you must come out next time!!!!!
