I had such a great time! Flexi you must come out next time!!!!!
Eh, I'm not a group outing type of girl.....but maybe if you change your avatar back to that fierce lady with the spear, we can talk!
  • pleasure to see everyone there and to meet new faces.
it was a really nice hangout
    peace. out!
  • Flexi, I'll change it back but I need to be more sober to do it
    Manana chica.

Q, too bad we didn't get much time to talk. You're cool peoples. Next time, soon, I hope :P
  • It was great to see everyone, and to meet all the new people. Here's a big hand for all the happy hour n00bs who mustered the courage to come out and meet a bunch of strangers who aren't really strangers.=D>

    Strong turnout, everyone!

    Even WhyFi.

And Mamacita, the canned chicken is still mine. I just let shishkab hold it until next time. I have photographic evidence that I will post soon.
  • It was great to see you all. You're aces in my book. Let's do it again real soon.

    Cheers!
    Seacrest out.
  • Nice to see y'all - glad you found your way home eventually em26, and good on ya for making it through the door in the first place.

And YEAH Flatbush Farm for having good beer and such a big table for us, and for not hating on a big morphing group. That was a HUGE turnout!

    You know, they have a garden . . .
  • SUCH. a good time. SUCH. a good turn-out! I was lucky- met roomie on his way home and didn't have to walk home by myself in that less than sober state. I love Brooklyn..
  • It was so great to see all of you! What a bunch of nice, and holy cow! attractive folks the Brooklynians are!

I was floored that a bunch of internet geeks were sitting around and having conversations that didn't involve being on laptops or geeking out. OK, I was geeking out with shishkab her hubby, quijibo and sprite.

alafairnadia, you're incredibly welcoming. Thanks for making me feel immediately at ease. :-)
  • okay, i am sooo glad you owned up to that, DD! hubby was just chatting away the whole bus ride home about it :D

and yes, i second DD's statement about the tremendously gracious Alafair. i'm sorry we didn't get the chance to chat much last nite, but i intend to sit with you next happy hour -- you're awesome!

oh, and i also want to say that choosing FF was a stoke of genius on Carnivore's part -- it was a great location for both PS and PH. if we can choose another place like it that is centrally located and easy to get to via public trans., i think you'll continue to get the large turn-out.

and lastly, wanted to say specifically to Doctor J that i'm sorry i didn't take the opp'y to introduce myself. we were positioned at opposite ends of that giant table and by the time you arrived, well... let's just say i needed to stay seated. those mo'stomy cocktails at FF were delicious, addictive, and potent ;)
  • good times. wish i could have stayed longer, but great to meet some new people in the ol' RL. and your young man, mamacita.

i second pitu on the marvelous garden at FF....
  • I would have liked to come by but have had a wicked cold and wasn't good for anything besides blowing my nose and watching Law & Order. Sounds like a very good time was had ...

Which happy hour were you at last night?!

Uh, I sort of forgot to come because I was busy downloading the new update to Ubuntu. Hey, now that daveb doesn't come round anymore, somebody's got to do it.

But maybe it's just as well, since that would have upped the geek factor?
  • aw, come on WhyFi...

me and DD sittin' at table. who wouldn't look twice at these two beauties?

  • i was totes in awe of how you kept your mo'stormy balanced like that.
  • Anybody got pics?
  • I was busy downloading the new update to Ubuntu
Ok, that's pretty geeky. Suddenly I don't feel so bad about going to a LAN party next weekend.

I'm the one using my um, DDs to hold the beer.

You two were a whole lot of fun to talk to!
  • You know shishkab, something about your manner, your diction, your honest appraisal of Superman, made me suspect you were royalty. Now I see the crown to prove it!

You say that like it's a bad thing! Just wait till we get closer to July and start revving up for HP7. 8)
  • Okay , now did more people arrive after I left??

I remember meeting or hearing these people being introduced:

Alafairnadia , Whatchuwant , Carnivore and wifey , Shishkab and hubby , Drano , Big Guy , LeeHo , Sprite , Mamacita ,and quijibo.

I don't recall meting or hearing anyone introducing any of these people at the table... Doctorj , sweet tea , Micheal Keys , Whyfi , doublediamond , and Pitu?

Pitu , were you the woman that introduced herself to me , and was sitting next to me talking to Shishkab and her hubby Paul?

And Shishkab , you sweet thang , I had MY paws all over your canned chicken! :D/

P.S. When did these gifted ladies barge in? I Don't remember her highness and company being there either 8-[

  • hey all! thanks so much for the kudos - I had a great time.

and thanks very, very much to LeeHo, Carnivore and Mrs. C for walking me to my door. at that point, I really needed the assist.

    xo

yeah, i think i arrived after you'd gone -- catch you next time!

That canned chicken has officially seen more action than Anna Nichole. Even the sock puppet got in on it, and I think there will be some stunning footage forthcoming to prove it.

    What? WHAT???

I thought what we had was special. (sniffle)

Man , I leave you alone for 19 hours, and now I'm reading that you were fornicating with that damn llama ? (sigh , sniffle , wipe)

Should have known you were a dirty whore , strutting around in your metal can ,calling yourself "premium", and 99% fat free.[-(

That Llama looks like its been around the block SEVERAL times as well, you two were made for each other.

Thats EXACTLY what I thought when I saw the llama. The camera really does add 10lbs.

Hey now , we won't have any problems if you just keep that thing away from the canned chicken!!image

Yeah Shishkab , I noticed that llama was looking kinda small and malnourished.....call animal patrol on that owner of his.image
  • Proof that the llama totally PWNED that canned chicken:
