Graffiti
Hi, can someone verify if landlords are required to clean up graffiti and if I should call our Community Affairs Office to get them to enforce it. paraderest are you out there?
There is graffiti on an abandoned building, 913 St Johns Pl, and I would really like it cleaned up. It has been under half-ass construction for a year with unsealed windows and a crane poking out of one of the windows. Thanks for any help.

The building was a haven for drug addicts and gang members and has now since been vacant for sometime. The Graffiti removal is the responsibility of the owner of the building. If you can find out the identity of the owner of the building and a contact # maybe something can be done. The building is defenitely an eye sore but theres little that can be done without permission from the owner or a representative.

Contact the Mayor's Office Community Assistance Unit. Ms. Carolyn Saunders James. I can't find her number but I will look for it.

The owners are a corporation. The DOB lists two officers
STEIN BENJAMIN OFFICER
913 ST JOHNS LLC
199 LEE AVENUE SUITE 272 718 781 - 0343
BROOKLYN NY 11211
CORPORATION:
LIFSHITZ MOSHE OFFICER
199 LEE AVENUE SUITE 272
BROOKLYN NY 11211 347 526 - 6418
Looks like their plan to add two more stories was unapproved -
Thanks for the info, we'll see if we can put some pressure on them.

Really? That is great... I am also wondering if the landlord is required to cover the empty windows and clean up the trash out front? The trash is not actually on the sidewalk so not sure if he is responsible for that.
