why is there no mention of the massive NYPD community day this past sunday in prospect park?

I certainly had no clue it was happening. oh well.

mostly because they did a lousy job promoting it. i had no idea until monday AM -- the parking lot by bartel-pritchard was positively FILTHY with garbage! i guess i shouldn't blame the NYPD outing exclusively, but the other areas of the park (though dirty from all the weekend traffic) weren't nearly as bad.
props to the parks dept., though. this morning the same area was very clean.
