In related news, the FDA has approved Slentrol, a Pfizer drug, for obese dogs. From Vegetarian Times: "Rather than advocate portion control, proper food choice and exercise, the FDA endorsed a drug with side effects such as diarrhea, vomiting, lethargy and loss of appetite. Furthermore, Slentrol is not a long-term cure for obesity; its effects cease within a day or two of stopping treatment."
