I also noticed that this weekend. Are they closing the other one?

So, I was out walking before and saw that a new sign went up on 7th Ave. and 3rd St. (site of the old Mojo Cafe/Carvel) for another Tempo Presto
I do love me some panini. How is the one on 5th Ave?
tempo is great
it's going to be a nice little addition to that block -

I've enjoyed the restaurant Tempo but have never tried Tempo Presto. I didn't find it to be very inviting. I wish I could be more descriptive.

Tempo is a great restaurant. Tempo Presto on 5th is strictly a sandwich and ice cream (oops, 'scuse me... GELATERIA) shop. but oh, the sandwiches: muffaleta, porchetta, broccoli rabe, PB & banana. not all at once. no, no, that would just be gross.
mmmmm.... muff-a-let-a..... =P~ -
I can't wait for them to open. I get a lot of sandwiches from la bagel, and I would really like another option, though I have much love for la bagel
-
yeah, i liked la bagel, too, when i lived on 7th & 7th. now i'm further down in south slope so it's not a convenient place for me anymore. but i'm hoping Tempo Presto Deux will coax me from the southern hinterlands back to Slope Proper.

There are no plans to close Tempo Presto on 5th Avenue. It is splendid!

Yeah, Tempo Presto II is by no means remaining the elder Tempo Presto. My roommate works at Tempo and has told me the stories. I have yet to eat anything from the restaurant or the sandwich shop, though, besides some wonderful side dish that was brought home on night... creamed spinach perhaps?

This is an outrage! Where will all the nannies congregate?!?! :x :x :x

I went to go to TP on 5th yestserday, but didn't realize they didn't have many sit down tables, so we went to Press 195 instead.
Does anybody know if TPII is open yet and if they have sit down tables? -

I went there on Saturday and was also turned off by the two little tables and left even though I keep hearing how great those sandwiches are....even if they do take an hour to make.
Howdy, Stranger!
