that kind of thing depends on who you are more than what nabe you're in -

It's always good to make eye contact and say something nice. Better safe than sorry. -
I wish my block were a lot nicer and less noisy. I mean, would it kill the building owners to get some trees?
Other than that, I dig Crown Heights! Especially since I am single and childless. I'd feel like a freak if I lived in Park Slope. -
i love sub zero

what do you recommend to eat at saje? I've been once and was not impressed. Is Saje CH or PH anyway?
-
Not to be a wise guy, but I'm thinking the people from the Slope wouldn't even entertain this? CH has great streets and buildings and folks, the roti is also some of the best on the planet!

1. jerk eel. not only does it sound dirty, it's also delicious!
2. CH, unless you're a broker. -

...or Jack Krohn, who's not a broker (but many other things). [Insert joke here] -

I'm at St Johns and Nostrand, there is plenty of decent fruit and food. Even an organic place. Restaurants seem a bit limited, if you are looking for sit down and be served. Mostly take out.
At least in Park Slope, there were one or two decent key foods.
More good restaurants in Park Slope as well, as least as of my last visit a couple of years ago.
The Associated on Nostrand and Empire is not bad at all. It's clean and has a great selection of food and offers organic produce. About two stores down from that is an amazing organic vegan store. The mom and pop fruit and vegetable place on Nostrand between Union and E. Parkway has a very good selection of products from the Caribbean and Asia as well as a great assortment of fruits and vegetables. There's another one on the other side of the Parkway, Nostrand (can't remember the cross street, think it's Lincoln), and they have a good variety as well. -

just curious, what were you not impressed with?
mmm... the paninis are good, my favorite is the mozzerella. i haven't really had dinner there, so i can't reccomend anything specific. but brunch on saturdays & sundays, the french toast is amazing, as are the pancakes, omlettes are really good as well.
and it's CH.
also, if they ever have plaintain dumpling soup when you are there, have that. -
The place looks great, but the service is terrible and the table next to ours remained dirty the entire time we were there. The place looks great to be a wi fi hot spot and a coffee spot. It improves Franklin ave's curb appeal for sure.

Hands down CH rules over park slope

heightster, STOP spamming the board with ads for your blog. I deleted your ad posts. Also, we do know the first 3 posts in this thread are yours.
If your blog is all-that, then prove it... spend less time spamming, and more time letting us know what's going on in CH!

Clinton Hill wins
but Park slope by the park (8th and 7th ave) is better than Crown Heights but past 6th ave its not nearly as nice. -
clinton hill sucks vs ph :P. and sure got nothing compare to ps.
