    Oh, stop. The cat is obviously well cared for - it gets plenty of food and goes to the vet when it has a problem. The owner(s) probably didn't think, left the food out as usual when they brought the cat home from the vet, and were greeted with this scene a few minutes later. If it was my cat, I would have LOL'd and gotten the picture too - that doesn't mean she lives a miserable existence or anything.

    Not to make a big deal out of the pic but when I first saw it on cheezburger I didn't lol, I thought, "awww, poor kitty!", and I certainly wouldn't lol if it were my own cat. When the vet did put one on my cat I took it off her after about ten minutes because it was impossible for her to eat and was so upsetting, for both her and me. I always hate seeing a cat in an Elizabethan collar - yeah they've been to the vet and are getting cared for, but as long as they have the damn collar on they're pretty miserable.

    What can I say, I love cats but I do laugh when they do slapstick-type stuff. When our cat comes tearing around a corner and wipes out then gets up with this I-meant-to-do-that air about her, I crack up. SHE isn't happy about it, but as long as she's not hurt, well, I don't feel bad. I won't even tell you about the time my previous cat sneaked onto the counter and ate a huge bowl of bacon grease.

    Anyhow, I don't want to turn this into a thread hijack. I just found the macro amusing and I'm sure the cat is fine and stuffing itself happily as I type.

    Oh I laugh about that kind of stuff too but to me being forced to wear a cone around your head is different.

    I think dogs have less of a problem with the insult/humiliation factor, but they still look awfully pathetic ...

    Dude Drano. I didn't mean it against you man! I was just saying, awww poor boo boo kitty!! I'm sure that cat is Ok and spoiled rotten. It just didn't make me laugh at first, after seeing it a bit it is an "Oh noes!" but funny moment.
