Cornerstone's Demise....

Subject: Cornerstone's Demise....

Sorry it never rose to its seeming potential. With the Cornerstone being shuttered, anyone know about landlord's plans for the site? Heard rumor of a Dunkin Donuts going in there - would be unfortunate, I think. Know also that the building has been for sale for at least 3 years - asking 1.5 million, gone in and out of contract 4 times and Real Estate broker not the friendliest of folks.
Place used to be Boxers and that didn't do too well either - maybe location is cursed. Any information appreciated. With hopes that there is an old timer or two reading this board, anyone know anything about former local bars, The Swan or The Coco Poodle, an old mob joint. Thanks, R

I don't have the info for you but the KWTNeighbors list serve has some members who are old timers and they know ALL the old bars and hangouts and one of those guys could totally tell you

  • I don't think you need to wonder if it's cursed, when they were often out of beer, never had a proper sign, and didn't pay the rent.
