You think school is bad....wait till you try WORK
-
that's funny 'cause i'll take work over school any day. i prefer to get paid for all the work i put in.
-
ya, at least my work ends when I get home
and I have more rights concerning the environment I work in -
You obviously work for someone else and that is never a good thing.
-
i work for myself, but i'd do school again in about 4 seconds. all art classes all the time, all free art materials, and zero responsibility except to have enough $$ for drinking. and, living in the wilds of VT. not half bad.

When you say school, are you thinking age 11 or age 21? I'd rather be working than go back to either, even assuming some benefactor were willing to pay. It's too easy to remember the good bits, when there were a lot of downsides at the time.
A wise principal once said to me: "if anyone ever tells you that 'schooldays are the best days of your lives', don't believe them, it's garbage". -
i was thinking college. 21.

the only school experiences i'd be willing to revisit were my sculpture classes. we sculpted using clay, created wax molds, and (FOR FREE) cast the molds in bronze. also, at one point, I got to make a few sculptures in Styrofoam and duct tape and cast them in aluminum. brilliant. no material costs. oh, and my steel forging class? also amazing. I still don't have the strength to do hardcore forging but I at least now know how hard to hammer and that I can't reheat more than one or two times, depending on the quality of the steel. I made this absurdly ornate hook for my mother to hang plants from, and I made this double ring thing that's hanging in my apartment.
and I don't think ppl who've been to my house have been tortured with my sculptures.
okay, I'm letting go now. all I have to say is that I loved sculpture and if could go back to college and be a studio major focused on sculpture, I'd be the happiest girl in the world. -
skool blows ass. work blows anus.
they both should be out lawed. -
It could be worse. You could be doing BOTH at the same time, like I am.

well if, like me, you decide to have a mid-life crisis you can do just that. only you have to pay for your own materials.

I guess that's why my sculptress friend prefers cheap materials. Like human waste. -

That's pretty good for the ol' carbon footprint too. Kudos!
