Meet the Neighbors

There are usually a lot of happenings in Ft. Greene park during the summer where a lot of the neighborhood comes to kick it. Especially fun last summer were some musical tuesday nights in the park when tons of the neighborhood came together to just hang out and dance around. Habana Outpost on Fulton also has lots of summer fun, although you get a large amount of hipsters.
A good way I've found to meet neighbors is just to take long leisurely walks on sunny saturdays or sundays. there are always people out and about who are ready to chat.
Welcome to the neighborhood! -
We tend to have Brooklynian happy hours fairly regularly, mostly focusing on Park Slope, Prospect Heights, or Crown Heights. There could easily be a Fort Greene happy hour though. You can start organizing one just by starting a thread about it.
