I heard Marty M say that MC Hammer was going to be performing in Prospect Park this summer (he made an announcement before the movie last week, Close Encounters). Or at least I think that's what good ol' Marty said. I can't seem to find any info on it, even on the Park website.
Did I imagine hearing this?

Am I the only one who knows shamefully all of the lyrics to his first album? How dorky does that make me?
Never got into 2 legit 2 quit though. -
My guess is that he'll be playing at Asser Levy Park down in Coney Island. Marty frequently 'hosts' the events there too, like when Liza Minelli played last year.

I saw LL Cool J at Wingate last year. Great show! Wingate Field is right across the street from where I work, and is really easy to get to from here. Just take the 2 train to Winthrop (4 stops from Eastern Pkwy, 5 stops from GAP), then head about 3 blocks east on Winthrop.
