Tires slashed on 3rd Street
Just thought I'd share our Sunday morning with you all. Got in the car which was parked on the corner of 3rd Street/5th Avenue. Turned the corner and realized we have a flat. Called AAA and the service guys arrived in 5 minutes. They tell us that our tire was slashed and that we were the 5th call they had received that morning. Sure enough, they show us the tire and there is an inch-long hole. More of a "puncture" than a "slash", I suppose.
So we bring the car to Pep Boys to get a new tire and they too say that all they've seen that day are people coming in with the same issue. Seems that somebody had fun in the Slope Saturday night slashing all the tires around 3rd Street. The sad thing is that this isn't the first time our car was damaged. About 3 months ago, somebody smashed the side view mirror off. (Jeez, maybe I have some enemies that I'm unaware of!)
Seems like such a fruitless crime. What are the people who are doing this getting out of it??? Is it a way to blow off steam, get rid of some internal anger, or is it just kids pulling their idea of a drunken prank? Luckily for us, our tire was not that expensive, but some people have to pay quite a bit to repair their vehicles. It makes me so angry.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. In the past, people have mentioned the possibility that glass/tire/whatever merchants will put crackheads/nogoodkids/other scrubs up to stunts like this when they need a little push in business. I'm not much for conspiracy theories, but this one doesn't seem all that crazy; it might not be true all of the time, but it's probably true some of the time.

Clearly, the Pep Boys went on a tire slashing binge.
Case closed. -
Manny was always a bad seed.
