  • on subsequent days this week I had the chance to try both Oko and Pinkberry. On each occasion I had a small original flavor with fruit topping (strawberries at oko and raspberries at Pinkberry). Both were totally delicious and I found no major differences between the two. Just my new favorite dessert! Thanks 8th and Prez for pointing it out!
  • Hey, just doing my job!

I do differ, however, in that I think Oko and PB have fairly difft flavors. Pinkberry is a bit sweeter and Oko is a little more sour and Greek-y in flavor. Personally, I like Oko better.
  • I hate to sound like a piglet but the last 3 times I was at Oko the portions kept getting smaller and smaller - including the toppings. I kind of gave the girl at the counter a look like "um, is there anything in the cup" and she just shrugged. Something fishy going on here...
  • Interesting... I haven't been in a few weeks but I always felt their portions were very generous.
Nubnu - Oko has nutrition info on their website. 90 calories and 0 fat per 3 oz serving.

Ok, now I'm craving... I may need to trek down there tonight! :pig:

OK, let us know ... perhaps my eyes are bigger than my stomach!
  • On one hand, I'm glad that this is a thread about yogurt and not that chem-food Cold Stone "ice cream food" chain. On the other hand, I am not a fan of Oko. I wanted to like it. I like the name. I like their eco-friendliness. I like Total Greek Yogurt, so I know what Greek yogurt tastes like. But I didn't like it at all. I was much happier just having a bowl of mixed berries. I'm amazed at the business they're doing! We didn't think they'd last long. Apparently, we were wrong.
  • maybe you should try the mixed berry yogurt. with mango. out of this world.
  • Just got back from Oko.... servings were maybe fractionally smaller (regular size), original yogurt yummy, and the mango was still delicious and fresh, and we were very happy.
  • Oko is like Crack! I find it so, so so, good, and way more flavorful in a sour yogurty way than Pinkberry, which isn't bad at all. But if I have a choice, it's Oko every time. I find myself making excuses to go down to 5th ave...Last time I had an original flavor with Gooseberries {called Golden Berries there}, they were slightly sour too and complemented the froyo perfectly. Now I'm going to get some more tommorrow! :pig:
  • I know - I find myself thinking about my next visit to Oko even as I'm walking away from Oko after eating Oko.

I tried one of the gooseberries last time and..... uh... no thanks.

I was devastated to discover that the organic cherries are now out of season. Suuuuuucks!
