Need number for 555 Prospect Associates
Hi,
I just signed a lease to move into 555 Park place on July 1st, but can't find their phone number anywhere, and need to get in touch with them soon.
The rental company is "555 Prospect Associates", and they appear to be unlisted.
I noticed that there are people here who live there, as I usually lurk this forum.
Would anybody be able to provide me their phone number?
Mohit.

Subject: 555 Prospect Place, Brooklyn
I am about to sign a lease to live in this building as well. I was wondering if people on this board have any experiences (pos or neg) that they would like to share about the building, neighborhood, etc. -
Subject: Roaches!
ROACHES!!! BEWARE!! There is a roach problem and the building is giving people the runaround on the problem....find out if the apt. you are moving into is infested b/c there are a few empty apts that are currently infested. We have never had a problem until the past month but its getting ugly very quickly. -
assuming this is about 555 PROSPECT and not Park (since 55 Assoc is the LL for the hospital, on prospect), you will find lots about the building by using the search function to look for mentions of the Jewish Hospital. there are several threads.
re:roaches. we haven't seen any. we do have insect-chasing cats, and we do let the exterminator in regularly. -
I've found that roaches are more a product of the people who live in an apt rather than the apt itself. Unlike some other pests, roaches need constant food sources or they will move on/die.
If you don't keep clean and roaches find out, you'll have a problem. If you do keep clean the roaches won't bother you.
When an apt is vacated if it is cleaned and sprayed the new tenant will not have a problem.
The only exception to all of this is if an immediate neighbor is a complete slob and therefore attracts lots of roaches to his/her apt. If that's the case a couple might find their way over to your place but if there's no food for them they shouldn't stick around.
