  • Wow, they bombed ALREADY?

    damn.
  • Wow, that was great. Only I hope they actually get the money!
  • holy shit. I love how psycho she got on the phone. wtf?
  • What a horrible bitch. How can people in good conscience patronize establishments owned by those such as these. Added to the list of "where not to go".
  • she's craaaaaazy!!!!!! how could the mom and the 2 boys have consumed a bottle of absolut - wasn't this a party to send off a kid to college? maybe she wants to admit to serving underage drinkers too?
  • Not only that but $150 for a bottle of vodka? Sorry but Flatbush Ave is not SoHo. At that price it wasn't going to be much of a party for $500 anyway...3 bottles of liquor and a tip. Party over in an hour. No wonder she was jamming the parties togetner (just got her schedule a little confused)...she figured they'd be gone before the next group got there to get fleeced.
  • They're liars. LIARS!!!! Those people are LYING!

Okay, so then why do you keep changing your story and refund?

She should pay them for ruining the poor kid's party. What a jerk.
  • Buck-fifty for an $18 bottle of Absolut? That's hella margin.

    Bitch.

    Bitch.
No shit. Figuring you can get 25 one oz shots out of a 750mL bottle, that $6 a shot!

    LAME!!!

    :x
  • Only wish "Help me, Howard" could have gone face to face with this angry, frustrated, high-pitched wanna-be!
I hope a good deli fills the vacant Not So Well Lounge.
  • Bitch is crazy!!
  • Wow, even a magnum of Grey Goose is only $60. After watching that video clip there are a few things I'd like to say about Ntozake. But the last thing I need is a crazy bitch like that whinging to my boss!

i say if she's going to make more of an ass of herself and her business she should go with the modern clasics like this one:

"i'll tell you why I can't put up with you people. because you're bastard people." -- corky st. clair
  • Unbelievable.
  • HAAAAA!! I love it!! Next thing you know there's going to be Liz Cho reporting live from the meat vent.
  • That was so fucking on the money of who that asshole really is! Nice job, Howard.
  • I just wish they were getting (hopefully) all their money back. Howard shoulda got them everything!

Still, nice to MW bashing back - Im *shocked* they're still in business. What was the over/under on them closing their doors after joyce opened?

    edit: i can spell!

Howard's only an advocate. The mom and son team have to take the crazy lady to court for their money back. I would suggest they picket Muddy Waters but hardly anyone goes inside....how about the other place? Busy?
  • All I have to say is "ha"
    That chick is crazy...
  • I've been pleased to see the place deserted every time I've gone by.
  • She seemed to be functioning on the unfortunate but commonly held opinion of our times that the legitimacy of an argument is in direction relation to how shrilly a point is made...the number of times I hear this approach on the street are innumerable...

Um, what, precisely, was so shrill about the way she asked about that remark?

If we are talking about the Ntozake, then holy crap did you _watch_ the video???

If we are talking about the the other crap then I have no fucking idea.

MOD NOTE: A possibly offensive comment and discussion regarding it have been split off.

Ah. I see... I thought sterling2000 was referring to sweet_tea's question about Idlewild's "all women are crazy" crap, but it appears daver was probably instead talking about Ntozake's hollering at the reporter. My mistake.

Nonetheless, this stuff about all women being crazy IS misogynistic and dumb.
  • i actually know the family that was on help me howard & was actually there that night. That lady is a nasty, rude woman! the way she blew up over the phone, i wasn't surprised. Her entire can't stand her because she doesn't pay them on time and she is just nasty!
  • It looked like Howard was going to do a follow-up. Anyone know when that'll be?
  • I recently moved to PH. The first morning at my new apt I walked down Park Place towards Flatbush to get some coffee and figured there'd be good joe on Vanderbilt. I saw her store, Muddy Waters (my plan was to walk into the first coffee place I see), walked in and ordered a coffee with soy (.50 extra, which is total ROBBERY since everyone gives it away). The nice guy that I am, I asked her how long she'd been in the neighborhood. "15 years" she said, and then came the wiseacre remark, "You should look across the street sometimes!" I was puzzled and said "I just moved here yesterday" and she didn't respond.

Not only was the coffee weak, bitter, really just poorly brewed in every way—her attitude sucked. Maybe it's because this new fancy coffee/pastry shop moved across the street and now is quite popular. that's understandable.

But now I look at Muddy Waters "[from] across the street" at Joyce's. they're nice.
  • anyone have a link to this now...the link in the first post no longer has the video and I am dying to see it. I've disliked her for 10 years now.

It is still there, the third one across the bottom on the video "Canceled Party".
  • Look for the little pics there.
