  • I was crossing Flatbush with the family unit on sat and there she was, revving the engine in her BMW Z4, waiting for peeps to cross so she can make a left-hand turn and pull in front of her bar. she had this scowl on her face. it said don't mess with me. her Bimmer is all smacked up; the grill is smashed and so is the driver's side. Imagine being on the other end of that accident.
  • thanks, I didn't notice those videos. I hope she goes out of business.
  • FYI, the wife and I walked past last night (Friday 7/20) at around 10 p.m. No one was in the place. Empty as hell. Excellent!
  • Well no surprise...Help Me Howard did his follow up last night and Ntazake stiffed the family on the $350 refund...

But...a real nice guy who happened to have watched the segment wrote the family a check for the full $500. Just makes Ntazake look that that much worse.
  • Subject: Kharma

What an awful woman owns the club!! I just don't get people like that. How wonderful that the viewer stepped up to help the Mom and her son. His organization should be paid back the money due, without a doubt or further hesitation.

I can only say that Ntazake will have some serious kharma to deal with. And this is, I'm certain, only one instance brought to light.

Maybe she'll be nicer in her next lifetime. :?
  • Wow, I can't believe that woman has been in business for 19 years! Why do people still give her money with that attitude? That guy was a real sweetheart for giving them the money and it did make Ntozake look even worse.
  • Perhaps the best thing that we can do as her neighbors is not to go into either Muddy Waters or the Well Lounge. It doesn't seem like she deserves the business of this neighborhood.
  • When did the Chocolate Monkey become the Well Lounge? Overnight?

It happened as soon as what's-her-name thought that a name change might allow her to get away with selling $150 bottles of so-so vodka.
  • Muddy Waters has been closed the last few days.
Think she's too ashamed to show her face?
  • No. She has no shame.
  • She probably took the money she owed the people and went on vacation.
  • Isn't that how Muddy Waters always operates? Open whenever it wants to?
  • She went off on me once, like in this scene, because I asked for another napkin and a to-go cup (see post elsewhere on this board). She's psycho, and gets the finger (my finger) any time I see her at Grubby Waters...
  • On the bright side, one of my kids went haywire in there once.

In retrospect, I would recommend it to anyone else with similar capabilities.

    (hah)

Behavior is down to a science across the street however, or I simply won't go inside. Nice people at Joyce.

What a ripping yarn! Somehow it's hard to take her version of the story at face value.

Compulsive liars make me crazy!!!! Yaaaaaaaaaargh!!
  • seems ike muddy waters has been closed for a number of days now...
  • Joyce is closed for vacation next week, but I'd rather schlep over to Heights coffee on Flat rather than Muddy if they do re-open. Her brew is so inconsistent.

Muddy Waters is still closed - no sign about vaca or the like (typical).
    Any news?
  • I stopped in there today for the 1st time on my walk back for the Library. What a nightmare!

It looks like they're cleaning the place out but when I asked if they were closing the guy behind the counter said something like "she's doing some painting".

My wife asked for some lemonade but the guy said all they had was coffee. Well that was a lie because he barely had enough to fill half a cup for me so he made me a modified Americano, which was lukewarm and weak. It was also $2.50!!!!!

Unfortunately Joyce was closed and I forgot about the new place down by the Bicycle Station. I definitely won't make that same mistake again.
  • I guess you got just what the name implies, then.
  • I hope Joyce starts to open on Monday's... and longer hours during the winter. The place is perfect for working on homework and such... but not open late enough. Joyce, if you are listening, please longer hours and Mondays!! =)
  • has anyone been by muddy waters lately? i think its finnaly on its way out.
when it actually is open wich seems to be only 4 days a week it opens at 11:am. and all the tables and chairs are gone. when i walk past dureing the day " on my way to joyce's " i can see the owner sitting on a chair behind the counter just stareing out the window. its like shes dareing people to give her any business.
