Graphic Design Resources in Da Hood
I've just moved to the South Park Slope area and am a graphic designer who works from home. Wondering if anyone could help me find designer resources in Park Slope or nearby nabes. Looking for:
1. Any quality printers in the area. Letterpress and Litho.
2. A good place to get Kodak approval matchprints, or any good pre-production house.
Anyone print at the 20 Jay Street Building in DUMBO? Seems like a bunch of printers are in that building.
Any input would help. Cheers!

There is a letterpress studio on Bond and 1st street in Gowanus. I don't know if they take outside work, but it's worth asking. I have no phone #, but it is the building on the corner, renovated. The garage portion of the building houses the letterpress studio.

There is a traditional printing press in the Brooklyn Navy Yard: http://www.woodsidepress.com/index.html
From what I understand, they do very high quality work - but might not be the best choice for everyday economical printing.

a friend recommended this printer to me, though i have not used them personally, she gave them great reviews.

Hey thanks for all the tips! I do most of my current printing in Manhattan or out-of-state, but would prefer to stay even more local.
Woodside Press sounds interesting, would be nice to check out their true-cut original fonts. Thanks jesed!
I will def check out Rolling Press. A "green" printer, almost an oxymoron, but can't fault them for fighting the good fight. Funny, I just moved into a green building! Thanks for the tip Cabaki!
