You can check out Indigo on 8th Ave & 13th St. It's a pilates studio on the ground floor and spinning in the basement. My friend Kirk Whiteman, and former national champion rider opened the studio with his wife a few years ago. they have since left the business, so i'm not sure the status of the spinning part of the business. FWIW, I also own a small indoor cycling studio in Gowanus - 3rd Ave & 8th St. You bring your own bike and ride computer controlled, simulated "courses" with other riders. It's a little more involved than a typical spinning class, with certain added benefits (riding your own bike, accurate data on your power output, the ability to simulate real courses) but is also a little more time consuming to set up and requires that you bring your own bike.
