Brooklyn Resident Introduces New Women's Empowerment Group

Subject: Brooklyn Resident Introduces New Women's Empowerment Group

Sil Lai Abrams, Park Slope resident and author of No More Drama: Nine Simple Steps to Transforming a Breakdown Into a Breakthrough is introducing the SEPIA Breakthrough Group to Brooklyn!

SEPIA Breakthrough Groups are intimate structured gatherings of women who come together for one purpose: to empower themselves and help other women to do the same. Using the book No More Drama: Nine Simple Steps to Transforming a Breakdown Into a Breakthrough as a guide, we explore the many different ways we give away our power and learn how to courageously address the challenges of our day to day lives by using the SEPIA process.

SEPIA Breakthrough Groups (SBG) are a welcoming and nurturing environment in which to challenge your old beliefs and develop an empowered life. These intimate gatherings of women (no more than fifteen per group) will support and encourage your growth.

SBG are held in various group members homes, with the initial twelve-week session meeting once a week and follow-up sessions meeting once a month thereafter. In each three-hour meeting you will explore how your belief system and its resultant behaviors affect your ability to be the best possible you. Using the nine SEPIA principles, you will choose a goal and begin to work towards eliminating your disempowered thoughts and behaviors. The group will work collectively to help every participant achieve their goals, providing constructive feedback and helping you to assess the viability of your plan.

Following the initial twelve-week course, SBG meet once a month exploring in a revolving fashion, the nine SEPIA principles. (first month focuses on Truth, the second month focuses on Acceptance, et al.) These follow up meetings will continue to support your commitment to your goals and provide a forum for you to share your triumphs and struggles.

SEPIA Breakthrough Groups
succeed while other women’s group fail because SBG provides sustained support for your efforts over an extended period of time. This continuous support provides you with the encouragement you need when things become challenging and you begin to encounter the fears which are a normal part of the process of change. These weekly meetings will keep you motivated and inspired to push past your comfort zone and into a new world of hope and opportunity.

The first series of Brooklyn SBG will be starting up in mid-September of this year. Participation is free but limited to the first fifteen women who register. For additional information on the SEPIA process and No More Drama, please visit www.sepiaprocess.com.
