the vermeil condos

don't ask why i've kept such close tabs on this development...other than it's around the corner from my house, i have no vested interest other than curiousity. the vermeil condos on the corner of 7th and sterling were for sale by brown harris stevens and now the website has been removed and they are no longer listed on the harris stevens site either. they were extremely overpriced and last i saw, only 2 had sold. the place does not appear to be on track at all, and seems to have made very little progress in the last 6 months.

anybody have any info?

the north slope from flatbush to union on 7th could really use a little jolt, in my opinion. not only in terms of a little more upkeap of the buildings, but i noticed that there are a ton of empty storefronts...especially on the couple blocks just south of lincoln....next to the diner, where the kids store was near the liquor store and that whole stretch next to the ace supermarket. and don't get me started about mr. kotsonis's building at union where he kicked out the dance studio and told me, i believe it was in march that the storefront below it had "3 leases out" and still sits with a store for rent sign in it today.
