know of a REALLY good shoe repair shop?
I need recommendations for a place to get some shoes resoled. I know that shoe repair shops are a dime a dozen, but some places do a much better job than others and use higher quality materials. I need to get my Dansko clogs resoled, as well as a pair of expensive boots, and want to take them somewhere that will do an above average job.

I love Hector's, but he's not in Brooklyn:
11 Greenwich Ave, New York - (212) 727-1237 -
I like the guy on 9th St between 5th and 6th, but he's only open on the weekends, it seems, and you absolutely MUST have your ticket to pick up your shoes.
Still, he's done a magnificent job on my shoes - I had 4 pairs resuscitated, 3 of them from Europe where the soles are put on differently. -
Anyone in the north slope?

I've had good experience with the Italian guy at 312 Flatbush, next to the old Pavillion and across the street from the 7th Ave subway stop.
