Found: small brown rabbit — Brooklynian

Found: small brown rabbit

Found yesterday, 17th st and 6th ave (greenwood heights). Very sweet rabbit and tame and obviously was (or is) someone's pet. I have 3 dogs and cannot keep it in my house. It came up to my back porch and would not leave. I called all the shelters, put signs up, no takers (shelters don't handle rabbits).

Anyone missing a rabbit or want a sweet pet?

  • If you still have this rabbit please email me at zachDOTwalkerATgmailDOTcom or call 917-562-5850

I have a pet rabbit and likely can't take in another - but i'd like to help out help out because people abandoning their pets really pisses me off.

    Thanks.

  • We're looking for a friend for our rabbit, simian sam. If you wouldn't mind fostering until Sept., we could do an introduction and see if the new pair would work. my email is my username at gmail. the only thing is that if they hate each other, I don't have any suggestions of what to do next.
  • If anyone wants rabbits, my neighbor had quite a few of the little midget ones (or whatever they are called). Just hop on over to Prospect Ave between 6th & 7th where the bikes are and ask anyone outside of the building.
  • That is where I "donated' my found rabbit to. In fact, i was pretty sure that the rabbit had originally come from him. I live across the expressway. His rabbits get to hang out in the back yard and experience real rabbit lifestyles. Although I always wanted a pet rabbit when I was younger, having the found rabbit in my house if just for 2 days made me wonder about the quality of life a single pet rabbit has in a cage inside a house.
  • Yeah, he really loves rabbits. He gives them away for free, I guess they duplicate rapidly. It's possible that someone took the rabbit and then dumped it cause I have no idea how it would get across the freeway!
