The reason I wrote the teeth thing is because I lost a front tooth when I was mugged in the late 1990s in Inood. And I was writing to mrsunshine.

caramba. i thought god was supposed to protect drunks? very sorry to hear about that. even rangers are sometimes (16 2/3 % chance) surprised in the wilderness.

I just speed walk and try not to think about anything bad happening. If I stay out too late, I just spend the night and my friends' places instead of trying to take the train. I have also used Right Ride for a free ride home. But most of the time I take the Q to the same stop and don't think about it.

I've noticed strange people, but I either change course or speed up close to a group of people.

As for hanging locally, I speed walk from Ft. Greene, Park Slope, or in the neighborhood. But I'm probably going to use cabs more often in the future.

really, not a funny story, its like saying b/c I wore a short skirt I deserve to get rapped..don't give these idiots who walk the streets at night the credit.. they are coming from areas like st. johns place and underhill.. even further out.. the police should be out more often in our hood, We should make a phone call to our precint and complain, if everyone does it , they will have to patrol. For a hot second they were hanging on the corner of Park and Vanderbilt, but not anymore..
Im buying some mace. When your see the bunch walking down the street avoid them at all costs, especailly if you are female..

I am from brooklyn and I know Prospect heights very well, it was never a good hood, and its gonna take some time before it will be, even if the color around is a bit whiter..
