Looking for an open-minded rabbi

My fiance and I are looking for a rabbi to officiate our wedding. We are both "technically" Jewish, but he identifies with the traditions and religion much more than I do and we'd like to find a rabbi who could make that work - probably reform or reconstructionist. It does have to be a rabbi, though; a nondenominational officiant is not an option. We are new in the area, plan to marry in Brooklyn or Manhattan, and would definitely like someone local. (Doesn't have to be Park Slope, but within 30 minutes by subway would be super-helpful). Any thoughts?

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! There is a Rabbi Ari who posts on the PH board. He seems to have a nice sense of community since he always invites anyone from the neighborhood to his congregation's functions maybe he can help you or at least point you in the right direction. You can get some beautiful pictures taken right at the park afterwards.

the new rabbi at the temple on 8th/garfield is apparently fantastic, very community oriented, young

hasidic, i think, may not be exactly what we're looking for. anyone know the name of the 8th/garfield synagogue? (or how to otherwise contact it) ... and keep the suggestions coming. thanks!

+1 for Temple Beth Elohim on 8th/Garf
The rabbi is very young and seems cool. Although I really never go to services, I go to the pool there (keeps me Kosher and in shape!) and they people I've talked to there are great.
