Care Bears on Fire???

Has anyone heard this band? Everyone seems to be buzzing about this kid band in Park Slope? What's the deal? anyone seen them?

  • I've seen them a couple of times at the "School of Rock" Saturday afternoon shows at the Liberty Heights Tap in Red Hook (now called Rocky Sullivan’s). They really are very good, with a sound and "attitude" that makes them stand out among the other acts that appear at that venue. I have no connection with any of the Rock School bands, incidentally, just a boozer who thinks the bar's pool table is one of the best in Brooklyn.
  • Yea, I have seen them a few times. More recently at Southpaw with a couple other kid bands. Man, they are incredible! I couldn't believe how entertained I was as an adult and live music lover. I have brought several of my friends to see them now cause it is a guaranteed fun time. Great t-shirts too!
  • Wow...everyone seems to love them. I need to see this. Their myspace is great.
  • I've heard them and they rock! Do you know if they are playing in the hood anytime soon?
  • IP CHECK, AISLE 5!!!
  • I agree that this is a bit suspicious... 5 newbies all raving about the same band... Jimmer2000 appears to have registered expressly so he could start multiple threads about the band (I merged his PH crosspost into the PS post)... premeditatedly positive phraseology like "everyone seems to buzzing" and "what's the deal with..." and "man, they are incredible!" ...

I would guess that johnife's comment is genuine, though.
  • And FWIW, phillyjean and winnie120 have different IPs than the OP. Not that it couldn't still be sock puppetry, or the members of the band posting independently, but at least they're not posted from the same computer (or from the same WiFi connection, at any rate).
