Is craigslist it or can I find an apartment in person?
I'll be coming to brooklyn in a week to find an apartment. Are there 'for rent' signs on buildings or something or flyers? Or is craigslist and other classifieds pretty much it when it comes to finding an apartment?
Specifically I was going to walk around and check out the williamsburg area, east williamsburg, and check out the safety.
thanks.

I don't know about Williamsburg specifically, but there are certainly "apt for rent" signs on buildings in Crown Heights and Prospect Heights, I suspect you will find them in Williamsburg as well. Craigslist is a really good place to find one too, though.
