i need bubble wrap! — Brooklynian

i need bubble wrap!

yup, just like i need peanuts. no boxes, got plenty. dry-cleaner plastic is always welcome. but bubble wrap, bring it on.

i'm trying to ship all my work while being environmentally friendly!

  • we used to get A LOT of pottery sent by mail when i was a kid (family friends are 4 generations of potters), always wrapped in a few layers of heavy paper, nested in shredded newspaper and maybe sometimes that springy straw that sort of looks like ramen noodles. all biodegradable, and partly (newspaper) reused. i can't remember anything ever being broken, and this was maybe 30 pieces a year for my whole life at home.

obviously, this is your business and you probably have your reasons for using bubble wrap instead, but just sayin'.
  • i'm with you on all of this; but retailers want bubble and peanuts, double boxed. i don't know why, but they do. (and i'm pretty sure UPS won't credit refunds for broken items unless they're double boxed, peanuts, etc...)
