1st and 3d Mondays is correct for Pat's show at Freddy's. (Thanks for the kind words, Yarn and quijibo.)
If this is not improper (because I posted this in Brooklyn Heights and it was cross-posted by the administrator to Events), Captain Pat and I are going to be appearing TONIGHT at 8PM at Pant-Hoot a new monthly stand-up show that I'm running at Magnetic Field (Atlantic Ave. between Hicks and Henry). More details here. -
I was totally wrong about Comedy night is Canceled for the Labor Day Weekend. Pat is in labor again, he wants a big family. Will Irish Catholics ever learn? It returns on the 17th of this month.
Comedy not the labor.

Ugarte, missed your show. You gotta give more warning than "Tonight only". How'd it go? You in the line-up this coming Monday evening? I enjoyed the last one. -
Subject: Sunday, September 9, the last softball game of the season
At a BBQ this weekend it was confirmed by both teams that the game is on. Of course there was some trash talk between teams, someone even threw a tofu dog, then the Korean short ribs came off the grill and they came to an agreement: Potato salad works well with all BBQ.
With the exception of weather, Freddy's has vowed to take the bra back from O'Connors on Sunday, September 9, 2007, the last softball game of the season. -
Subject: Freddy's wins the bra
The big blue bra found it's way back to Freddy's, the score 16 to 11. As the sun slowly set on this last game of the season O'Connors meandered over to Freddy's to return the bra. Spirits were high and this time the pizza tasted like sweet sweet victory for Freddy's.
Did it, done it, done? Perhaps not. A challenge was propsed for a diatholon: bowling grudge match at Melody Lanes this winter.
Play-by-play from Bill C. next. -
F(red)dy's managed to even the season series at 2 games each and bring the coveted Large Blue Bra back to its place of honor between the jackelope antlers. It was a good closely contested game with both teams keeping the score knotted through the 6th inning at 9- 9.l F(red)dy's added 7 runs in the top of the 7th. F(red)dy's to break open the game. The Big Red Faced Machine had strong play from the entire team with Ian, Jen, Katie, and Antoine making solid contributions as well as newcomers Chris Cavman and Attilla, who had a homer and a triple. Owen had an inside the park homerun and added to his season error count at the hot corner. Utility man Charlie got the save for his 6th inning beer run. Team Captain Pat O'Shea garnered the game MVP for his repeated circus catches in left center and strong leadership. After the game he rushed off to a "comedy" show.
Southpaw stalwart and F(red)dy's bartender, Matt "K" K. struck out one batter bringing his season total to 4. He went the distance and in holding O'C's to 11 lowered his ERA to 14. He added a 5th strikout when O'C's ace Kenny fanned him with the bases loaded during the 6th inning.
O'C's Captain Kevin's bid for a dynastic third victory (matching CAsey Stengel's record ) was thwarted but he had strong play from all star third baseman Bobby and firstbase person Meghan. Cneter fielder Troy and their left fielder also played great and contributed despite their mid game arrivals.
The game also saw a variation on the traditional Alien versus Tomato Head race with the introduction of a second Tomato Head. -
there were also rumors that one of the freddy's players (not related to mickey mantle) arrived at the game shitfaced drunk violating the rule that players get drunk during the game and after, not before. this reporter kept a pretty close eye on the suspect and noticed nothing unusual about his behavior.
