I noticed that too, and thought "so call a car service and get yourself to Fairway or BttL".
  • New one on 5th between 17th and 18th, forget the name. Balance, maybe???
  • you'll soon have a union market at 7th avenue and i believe it's 13th or 14th. i think it's coming in the fall..?

not a natural food store, but they have a lot of organic items.

and it's certainly pricey so all good there.

    ;-)
  • yes i do go around saying that - i have lots of money
  • health food store?

    isnt food healthy?
  • is it oil money, texas?
  • no, im a successful graphic designer and i make excellent money and proud of it

It's not bad. They have a book that you can write in to ask for stuff that they don't carry.

How do these two stores compare to Back to the Land?
  • BttL is MUCH bigger and a bit more expensive.

I guess it depends on what you're looking for.

I think Pumpkins has better food than Traditions. Traditions is ok for vitamins/supplements

If money is no object to you, you can:

    A) Bribe a Back to the Land worker with $5000.00 to deliver your groceries.

    B) Buy the building across the street from your apartment, knock it down, and make a farm.

    C) Hire a organic food chef and shopper.

    D) Send me $70,000.00 for the advice above.
  • Back to the Land is great for health and beauty stuff - they have a great selection - produce is just ok

Pumpkin's Market is great for their bulk foods, produce and its coffees - they are very sweet there and the inside is so adorable

Traditions is okay if you need basics, soy milk/boxed cereal
  • RICH PEOPLE!!!!

    GRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Time is money, money is no object, therefore time is no object. Maybe the OP should join the food coop; there are people there too who aren't concerned about the prices.
  • Stop walking. Call a car service and get door to door service to where you want to shop. Problem solved.

I bet all the lawyers and investment bankers who read this board are kicking themselves right now.
  • boy, texas tea would of saved themselves from all this blasting (maybe) if he had reworded his "money is no object" to "price is not an issue" which is probably what they meant - maybe we should just answer the original question
  • The original question was already answered at least twice.
  • oh good then we are done

my tree will not be just one in a row.
my tree will offer shade when strangers go by.
if you’re a stranger, brother, well so am i.

    (now the rangers)
come tomorrow all that i see is my tree,
    oh, lord, what a sight.
let someone stop me and i will put up a fight.

    (just the magic users)
it’s my yard so i’ll try hard
to welcome friends i have yet to know.

    (everyone except the elves)
    oh, i’ll plant [pause]

    my own tree [pause]

    my own tree [pause]

    and [pause]

    i’ll make it grow
  • why so many haters?
    whats wrong with having money?

    just asking?
  • I don't think there's anything wrong with having money. I think the way the OP wrote it was just kind of obnoxious, is all.
