Vegetarian Delight - 5th Avenue

It's cheap, so if you don't love it, well, you won't be too mad.
The food is just okay. There are much better vegetarian Chinese options in the neighborhood (Red Hot, Hunan Gourmet, Vegetarian Palate). I think the appetizers are better than the entrees at Vegetarian Delight, so you may want to load up on them. -
i like vegetarian delight a lot. yummy spinach noodles with baby ginger
-
it's GREAT!
cheap, plentiful and delicious! try it! -
we picked up food from here a few days ago and it was pretty good for takeout. the bf said it was the best crab rangoon he'd had in years, and the peanut noodles were actually spicy. yum.

It's pretty decent (and not all vegetarian).

GARBAGE! [-X
My wife and I got soooo sick. As veggies ordering veggie-type food, we did not expect chicken stock in their ingredients.
I will spare you the details.':pukel:' -
I ate there once about three years ago, and suffered some ill effects from their food. The food wasn't very good - everything was deep fried, poorly - and I haven't been back since.

these days i'm loving dragon garden on 8th ave between 11/12th. then again, that's only as long as the current cook stays.

For vegetarian Chinese style food, I go to Hunan Delight on 6th Avenue and Union and Vegetarian Palate on Flatbush Avenue. Hunan Delight's dishes are more fresh and flavorful.

i have to say, everyone raves about hunan delight and i've tried them a dozen times because of this, and i've yet to get a really good meal. it's not bad, it's just not good.

Agreed. Never BAD, but never like "Ah, that was awesome." -

Hunan delight is not consistent, but it's probably the "best" Chinese restaurant that we've tried in the area. It's difficult because we lived for a few months on the LES before moving back to Brooklyn and the ethnic food here is really not exceptional at all. -

Umm - I think you are thinking of somewhere else? If I am not mistaken Vegetarian Delight has only been around a year or so - right? -

Used to be called "Bo-Bo's" the VD, but the switch had to be at least 2 years ago...they just got a new sign, though.
