Late night eats
Any suggestions on where to eat after 9 or 10pm in the Slope/Heights area? It seems like everywhere is dead by 10 and turning people way not long after 9 (weeknights).
Is there some code, etc. that requires businesses to close at a certain time?
Just wondering how to quiet my rumbling tummy without a trip to the store and dirty dishes to wash

Albaz on Flatbush! Great late night eats.
5th ave Market/Deli (can't remember the cross street, on the corner across from 200 Fifth) -great deli and breakfast sandwiches! My go to place!
Bageltique Cafe -not awesome, but fills the need.
Daisy's dinner
And there nicer resturant places to like Blue Ribbon and Cafe Steinhof etc..
check out menutopia http://menutopia.com/GetVendorSelection.m
they list a lot of the local eats with menus -
Don't forget Tavern on Dean. The kitchen there is generally open until 2ish.
-
Blue Ribbon...Blue Ribbon Sushi, both on 5th Avenue, are open until 2 AM.
-
White Castle gets my vote

Long Tan is still serving at 10, as does Bonnie's Grill
The flowers/soup/tamal shack by the F train on 4th Ave at 10/11th St is open til midnight (I think - haven't been lately)
didn't we just do a thread like this? -
I couldn't find a thread like this, but let me know if anyone knows where it is. There were lots on which places are good/bad.
What about north slope, 7th Ave. area? 9th street is a little far for me. -
Burrito Bar is open till 1am, but I can't go there on mere principal.
Calexico is open on weekends till midnight and weekdays till 11:30.
There tacos are overstuffed with meat.
Screw it, just go to El Grand Castillo! Open till midnight and their roasted chicken is great! Pork is excellent too. -
here's that thread

it kinda gets derailed with other discussion of late night dining -
200 Fifth is open at least until 1 am weekdays, later Thurs-Sat. I think Song at 5th Ave & 2nd is open until 11 or 12. There's the 24 hr. diner at 4th St. & 7th that everyone seems to hate on this message board, but I think it's fine for burgers or eggs.

El Gran Castillo on Flatbush was open around midnight last Friday and the food we got was delicious and cheap.

What about when you want to grab a bite after going out? Anything open past two?
-
Noona serves food til 2 a.m.
Albaz is the joint for post-partying. -
if you want to go outside the 'hood there is a 24 hour diner on the corner of 3rd Ave and Atlantic and there is another one right when you get off the Brooklyn Bridge (Cadman Plaza East/Court Street)

your brain works right. cant tell ya how many late nights/early morning have ended in a journey down to the castle and about 1/4 the crave case disappearing before we even get back to the apartment.
Howdy, Stranger!
