Sherri Williams' 25th Birthday — Brooklynian

Sherri Williams' 25th Birthday

Subject: Sherri Williams' 25th Birthday

Sherri Williams lived at 1033 Pacific Street until February 24, 2006. Around 5am that morning, somebody decided to light some fires along a few buildings on Pacific Street, including hers. Four people died in the blaze.

Sherri would have been 25 today, probably celebrating with her son. I called the 77th precinct today to see if they had found her murderer, but they have not. I encourage others to call the Detective Squad at (718) 735-0661 to make sure that they haven't forgotten about this crime.

I posted some pictures of what the street looked like in early 2006:

Here's what it looks like today:

I remember that. What is the implication here? Is it being suggested that the builders of these condominiums somehow had a connection to the arsonists or set the fires themselves in order to build on these sites? As I recall it wasnt only this fire on this block, but a sudden rash of fires in certain neighborhoods and on certain streets in Brooklyns Bs and PH CH areas.I always thought something was suspicious.

There is no concrete evidence that a developer started the fire at 1033 Pacific. But something really nasty happened there, and New York Magazine also reported on the connection between arson and development:

The rash of suspicious fires in 2005-06 wipes away my inclination to trust everyone.
