Soul Summit in Fort Greene Park Yesterday - Great Event!!!
The best event in the Fort Greene neighborhood in the summer! DJ's providing great music, folks dancing and being free, wonderful energy, cool vibe and beautiful people gathering and enjoying the park in unity.
Unfortunately, yesterday was the last Soul Summit series for the year. There were easily a few hundred people in attendance sharing in the love. In years past it was an almost weekly summer event, this year it was reduced to only four times. The reason for the reduction of days is questionable, some say new neighbors on Washington Park have been complaining, others say its been tougher to schedule events in the park because of its increased popularity (though I didn’t notice other Sunday events in place of Soul Summit), anyone know for sure?
I just hope we're able to keep this one wonderful Fort Greene Park tradition, for so many it is a defining highlight of summertime in the neighborhood!

I agree about Soul Summit. That event is definitely what Brooklyn is all about. I hate that I missed it this year, but hopefully they will be back more frequently next year.

That is some really good music going on in there. Great djs, great fun loving crowd. But still fun....anyone knows why they keep reducing the number of dance parties? I believe there were only 4 this year?
