  • Welcome. Helpful hint #1: the really yummy restaurants are on 5th, not 7th.
  • thanks, we will check out 5th today :D
  • Moim (Korean) and Chiles and Chocolates (there are other threads on each of these places) are terrific restaurants on 7th.

There is more of a variety on 5th, but do check these out if you haven't already!

I also really like Oshima. GREAT sushi!
  • Welcome to the neighborhood. There are great restaurants on 7th as well. Don't expect to get a parking space every time in front of your building though :)
  • welcome - where are you? south slope, north?
  • yes, welcome. great blog!
  • i live just a few blocks away from prospect park. is that south slope or north slope? i am still learning the slopes.
  • Where were you two years ago when we were designing out brownstone!!??

Good luck with the blog and the new place. We love Park Slope. Enjoy!
  • thank you. i moved from orlando florida, to croton on hudson ny, to brooklyn. i am excited about discovering park slope. i am into retro modern design. i would love to write about the modernization of the brownstone buildings. i am curious about what people have done with their apartments. if you have a retro mod pad you would like to show off on my blog, feel free to contact me. thanks, vanessa

    Hi Vanessa,

That's funny, I bought a book from you guys on eBay this year about Japanese gardens. Welcome to the Slope! It sounds like you're enjoying it already.
  • Wow, small world. thanks for checking out our auctions. we sell our books on our own website also. i hope the book came in handy. i have seen a lot of pretty city gardens here in the slope.

Neither - if you are close to the park that means you're towards the East. In Park Slope, lower numbered street are North and higher numbers are South. 9th Street has traditionally been the dividing line.

    Oh and welcome!
  • ok then i am south slope. thanks for the info
