okay. super the cool - NooNa's downstairs lounge. great music (zomg GOOD techno??? they can barely pull that off at trouble & bass), NooNa food, and NooNa drinks (with late night happy hour specials). teh awesome. well lounge should just close their doors, or surrender their cool badge. everyone should check out the downstairs area of NooNa.

disclaimer: I'm really good friends with the DJ (Mike) and I think Toly is a cool guy. and I like that Nest beer. oh, and I like seeing Robert working in the neighborhood again. is that enough on the disclaimer list?

They only carry the white ale variety of Hitachino Nest beer, but luckily that's my favorite one. And it's on tap!:thumright:

I'm not sure how late the kitchen is open. On Friday, Candicissima ordered some mandoo at around midnight though.

And the music in the lounge downstairs has been great! Mike rules! :dj:
  • Refresh my memory... where the hell is Noona lounge?
  • 565 Vanderbilt (on the SW corner of Pacific, I think).

    You win. You're the winner.
  • circle gets a square!
  • Is it just me, or are city dwellers more likely to know their N, E, S, W if they're not originally from NYC?
  • they're serving food until 2 a.m.

I'm going to go with no. I'm very good with those, thanks, and I've found that people not from the city literally barely know which way is up.
  • It's only because of the dependency on maps and not landmarks alone. What are the prices at this lounge like?
  • From 12a-3a they have a happy hour. $3 beer, sake, soju, well drinks.

i never knew these until i lived in chicago -- where i'm from and where i went to college, i just learned what shape the hills were, and extrapolated where streets would go from there. so maybe, my minnesota friend, folks are more likely to know these if they've built the habit in the flat midwest. :viking:
