Im Looking for space to rent to work on my paintings.
If anyone knows of affordible, spacious places that
may be available....please let me know.

types of spaces:

warehouses
lofts (cheap ones)
places with floor space and high ceilings

Check in Wallabout/Navy Yard -- I have a couple of friends with studios there. No idea about prices, though.

Don't know what her prices are like, but you might also want to send a PM to sje, one of the users here on the board -- she runs a studio building just off Vanderbilt.
