New Pillow Cafe space is AWESOME! — Brooklynian

New Pillow Cafe space is AWESOME!

Had the distinct pleasure today of dropping in on the Pillow ladies for the first time since the new space opened...can't believe it's taken me this long to make my way a few blocks down Myrtle.

Looks like the move has been very good to Pillow. Much more room to set and stay a while...I always tried not to linger too much in the old space, just to be fair about giving newcomers precious seats, but there's room aplenty and very comfortable in the new space, with a small lounge in the back, and more to come as the patio in back gets ready to rock. A very comfortable new space, a chance for more of a good thing for lots more folks. :D

As always, great vibes and harmony and killer eats that do a body good, and of course, the best cup of coffee in all of New York.

see y'all there soon...enjoy!

  • OK to post a glowing review, but if you are a friend or relative of the owner, don't forget to disclose that.

    * If you comment on a business in which you (or your friend or relative) have a financial interest, YOU HAVE TO DISCLOSE THAT IN THE POST. Shilling is when someone who has an interest in a business or event pretends to just be a happy, satisfied customer or patron who wants to tell everyone how awesome Joe Schmoe's Coffee Shop is or whatever. Even if you are a well-meaning friend or relative of the business owner, participating in this deceitful tactic does more harm than good for your business. • do they have wifi?
  • Not a shill, just a long-time and loyal customer who's been out of town.

    Yes, free wi-fi.
  • does she have wifi? Or if you are the owner please state that. I talk about loads of businesses in Bed Stuy and who knows that I am a real estate agent. I wouldn't trust this recommendation.

I guess you love the spread the good word everywhere you go then.

Not accusing you of anything, but I'm just sayin...
  • In my experience, Pillow has tons of long-term, extremely loyal customers. I think it's likely this person just really likes the place and the owners and wants to do well by the place they love so much.
  • No, I'm certainly not the owner of Pillow. I'm a retired 5-star chef, and I post on lots of food boards about a lot of things, as I spend lots of time between New York and New Orleans.

Not sure what I'm being "accused" of, other than spreading the love about a great place.

Relax a little bit, and check out the place and enjoy, like all the rest of us who have been going do.
  • Subject: Love Those Pillows-How Do They Measureup?

Hi Funkjester, it sounds like a cool place though I've never heard of it. I actually do a bit of marketing for a new social network based around customer service called http://www.measuredup.com where happy or not so happy customers can rant or rave about a business and or service, so I personally invite you to check us out and rave about Pillows there-and please feel free to share this info with the owners.
